Technical Team

Shavin Chand is an experienced civil structural engineer with over fourteen years of experience in engineering .In these fourteen years Mr Chand has worked for private and public sectors in Fiji and also held senior management position in these sectors.

He has structural design experience ranging from residential building design, module bridge design, retaining wall design, structural engineering assessments, construction monitoring, design of general civil structures, such as, bridge, structural design of signage including concrete slab, pad or pile foundation design and pavement design. He also has the ability to develop cost effective and innovative design solutions.

He is also experienced in most technical aspects of the project life cycle from asset management planning, tender preparation and evaluation through to contract award and administration, construction management and site monitoring, structural design, analysis and modelling. He also has strong project management skills with extensive involvement in the delivery of various Professional Services Contracts for operational and capital projects in Fiji. Responsibilities include project proposals and fee estimates, programme management, risk management, financial monitoring and reporting, budget control, third party consultation, client satisfaction and project delivery.

Good communication and organisational skills with proven experience of people management. Ensuring that quality projects are delivered on time and to budget. Ability to foster strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Shayal is a civil and structural engineer with over three years of experience in both civil infrastructure design and structural engineering design. She has gained her experience through working for various sectors in Fiji including Residential, commercial, and transportation structures. She utilises software analysis to ensure that the buildings are designed with structural integrity and cost efficiency.

She is a very hard working, passionate young emerging Engineer who bring to Chahan, attention to detail, delivery and a customer focused person.

Raj has completed Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and is waiting for his graduation. He started off as an intern in the geotechnical and structural team and has gained practical experiences in geotechnical field testing, reporting, drafting and site supervision.

Raj has a talented quick learner with strong work ethical values and has the ability to produce quality engineering documentation, and ensuring that projects are delivered to a satisfactory level as well as on time to our clients. Responsible, customer focused individual with a mature positive attitude.
